Project Manager for Medical Technology Equipment
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
HSF Agreements and Supply
In Gotland, healthcare operates in a smaller format with the benefits of proximity and collaboration between different branches of operations.
Being Sweden's smallest healthcare principal operating on a strategically important island in the middle of the Baltic Sea makes the mission unique, exciting, challenging, and above all very important.
Your Responsibilities
As a project manager, you will have the opportunity to drive larger and smaller projects within healthcare regarding the procurement of medical technology, IT systems, and various types of services.
You will plan, coordinate, and drive projects together with purchasers in healthcare and other regional operations. Conducting direct procurements is also part of the job. The medical technology development is constantly advancing, which is why projects start with thorough preparatory work, including market analyses, among other things. Once the procurement is completed, you will also lead the implementation work, which can range from relatively simple exchanges to very complex ones.
The administration has an investment budget of over 30 million per year related to medical technology; the budget varies from year to year depending on needs and decisions regarding larger investment projects. Many procurements are conducted together with Region Stockholm, which, together with Region Gotland, constitutes the healthcare region Stockholm-Gotland.
Project planning is done in collaboration with the purchasing strategist and other professionals within the department.
The position also includes a special responsibility related to equipment and preparedness issues, as well as developing how the preparedness perspective is integrated into each project and working with the operations to map which equipment is particularly in need of redundancy, among other things. You are part of enhancing the resilience of healthcare regarding medical technology equipment.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who has at least completed upper secondary education. Above all, we see that you have extensive experience in project management, preferably related to procurement. If you also have education in project management, that is an advantage, as is experience working in healthcare. Since the procurement of new equipment often also involves changes in operations in some way, experience in change management is also a merit.
As the position also has a particular focus on preparedness, experience, knowledge of, or interest in preparedness issues is advantageous.
Planning and maintaining a good structure is essential for success in the role of project manager, as is working towards set goals and achieving good results. Since your assignments span the entire healthcare sector, you need to be able to see the big picture.
In your role as project manager, you will often collaborate with various operations both within and outside your own administration. This requires your ability to take initiative and work to create good relationships and functioning collaborations.
Written documentation is a significant part of the job, so it is important that you are meticulous and express yourself well in writing.
